I'd like a few of you scripters to commit a couple of hours of your time to testing the next release of TWX Proxy.

I want you to sign up, but only if you're going to give it a good thrashing and report the results.

Many thanks,

I've set a personal goal to have a Beta build of TWX 2.xx (still undecided on version number) in the hands of testers by Jan 1.  I'm hoping to finish the last of my debugging and send out the build by then.  And depending on feedback, I plan to make it public shortly thereafter.

It's not too late to sign up, but you'll need to be able to put some time into it.

Here is a list of changes / fixes:

New System Constants:

RYLOS Props to Wabbit for doing these two first.

CURRENTSECTOR (Returns the current sector; updated by the Command line and Computer Command line)

New Commands:
ReadToArray (ReadToArray <filename> <$arrayName>)
Reads in a 20k line file in ~.032 seconds. Props to Xide for his help here.

GetTimer (Currently only returns processor ticks, so needs to be divided by CPU Speed in Hz, E.g. 2200000000 for 2.2 GHz.  Accurate to a few microseconds.)
(E.g. getTimer $timer)  Results are the number of ticks since bootup.

Fixed-width Lucida Console font used for Script Windows.

Script Windows size is now adjustable.

Port data is now captured when docking, and from the CR report.

Sector fighter values update from a fig refresh. (Note: currently, this replaces accurate data with rounded data when applicable.  If you have 22,123 sector figs, the refresh will show 22T, so 22000 will be the new value.) Props to Tweety for helping here.

Will update STARDOCK Constant and sector data from the V-Screen Props Wabbit.

CURRENTANSILINE now includes the Carriage Return (#13) character at the end.

Corrected setSectorParameter / getSectorParameter bug where sector parameters were deleted on sector visit or display.

Corrected decimal precision issues when Precision is zero.
Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, and Round will now truncate results when Precision is set to zero.

OpenMenu now accepts a TRUE or FALSE value at the end.  FALSE will prevent the menu from pausing after opening.

Fixed Data Import/Export crash caused by blank port values.

Not sure how much time you need but I can put 2-3 hours per night testing it out.  Hehe, not even sure if I am to late for this but my ICQ is 21316991

You aren't too late.

I've fixed the last of the known bugs.  I'll be sending out emails / ICQs tonight.

I'll give you guys a list of changes, and I'd like you to spend a little time testing to ensure that the changes work like I claim.  At the same time, be alert to any functions that I might have broken in the process.

Today's closed Beta will not support previous .cts files.  While you guys are testing this Beta, I'll be working on backwards compatibility for previous .cts files.

How goes it? Still looking for testers? I spend about 6-9 hours a day playing. I don't have a life.:)

Heh, perfect.  Actually, this is about to go to a public beta.  Any day now in fact.  I'll post it here as it becomes available.  And please provide feedback from your testing then.
