I'd be real interested to hear from scripters that have implemented more than one or two lines of floating point math in any of their scripts.  In developing the next release of TWX, I'm considering making some changes that would be compatible with 2.02 math, but possibly break scripts using the current 2.03 floating point math.

Feedback here will directly affect how I proceed.  If several people indicate that it will require a significant time investment on their part if I alter 2.03's floating point math, then I'll be more inclined to proceed in a manner that is compatible with the current implementation.  Otherwise, I'll code it in the way that seems best with less emphasis on maintaining 2.03's FP math conventions.

My Port_Rob script uses floating point, but not cause it has too. heh.
my grid checker also uses it.

I've been holding off on writing more scripts that would take advantage of floating point operations cause I knew it wasn't set in stone how it was going to shake out.

I say go for it, and I'll change my scripts to use whatever method.

I frankly don't care HOW it does math, only that it's CONSISTANT.  heh.

Same here EP, I only use it in a few scripts and even then not extensively.  So if you've got a way to improve it, do it early and keep it consistant :)  Wouldn't be a big deal for me to change a few lines here and there at this point.

Thanks for asking.
